West has not been holding his Sunday Service presumably because of the corona virus pandemic. But he also has not spoken out about the other disastrous pandemic ravaging our country – racism and police brutality.
It’s being reported that West has made a $2 million donation to support the families of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. The donation includes funding for legal fees for Arbery and Taylor’s families.
Along with that, a rep confirms Kanye’s donating to several black-owned businesses in his hometown of Chicago and nationwide that have been in crisis and impacted by the unrest in the U.S.
Tyler Perry covered cost of travel for Floyd’s family from Texas to Minneapolis for the Memorial service on Thursday (June 4). He also lent his private plane to transport Rev. Al Sharpton and Gwen Carr (mother Of Eric Garner) to Minneapolis to meet Floyd’s family ahead of the service.
